Another great cake and cakelette pairing. This “Girly” cake is a 2 tier, 4 layer French vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting. The entire cake is covered in butter cream fondant.
The scrolling around each tier is done with Wilton’s Ready-To-Use black icing, the cake is detailed in black/pink stripes and black/pink flowers. Light pink flowers with silver sugar bead centers are placed around the top of each tier. There are bling dots in the center of each scroll.
The cake is finished off with a fondant number 10 and fondant name plate in front. On the side there is a pink gum paste bow and the top is finished with a black silhouette. There are metal cake swirls placed around the cake.
The matching cakelettes consist of a mini silhouette, pink flowers, bling dot and mini cake swirl. They are a French vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting as well. Each cakelette is finished with Wilton’s edible pink color mist, black sprinkles and silver sugar beads.
I had a blast creating this cake, it was so much fun!
