At Moments in Cake your cake is our focus. Ensuring that the details capture that special event is what we pride ourselves on. In order to make this happen we must partner with you so that everyone involved has the best possible experience.
~All cake orders (excluding wedding cakes) require a 2 week notice.
* We understand that circumstances come up and we will work with customers on a cake by cake basis.
~Anything under that 2 week mark will be on a first come first serve basis and will require payment in full.
~Requested dates are not guaranteed or reserved until holding fees or payments have been received.
~Upon initial contact, a member of our team will contact you with design/structure ideas and prices for cakes (unless the customer has provided their own design). These emails must be responded to within 48 hours after being sent.
~Customers must have a one on one consultation with the designer to finalize their order and to make a holding fee or full payment. This consultation must take place within one day of design confirmation.
~Clients that request order sheets emailed to them so that they can mail them back with holding fees or full payments must return these items within 48 hours (placed in mail) otherwise dates cannot be guaranteed.
~Phone numbers, addresses and emails must be provided for speedy responses.
~ Balance for all cakes is due before or on the day of pick up or delivery, applies to orders with two weeks notice and non refundable holding fees has been paid. The cake will not be surrendered until paid in full.
~Delivery charges can be paid at the consultation or when the cake is delivered.
~If for any reason orders are cancelled orders will be subject to the non refundable holding fee of $30.00 (for cake orders) and $100.00 (for weddings).
~There is a $10 change order fee for all requested date changes. This fee will be waived if there is at least one (1) week’s notice given.
~Production generally starts 4-5 days prior to delivery or pick up. Once this process begins orders cannot be cancelled.
~Customers are welcome to pick up their cakes instead of having them delivered. However, once cakes have been picked up they become at risk of the customer.
Requested event dates are not officially reserved until checks have cleared, 7-10 business days. If a check bounces, for any reason, an alternative payment method is required there will be a $25.00 returned check fee willmbe assessed and added to the order as well.
All PayPal invoices are due within 48 hours of being sent out. If payment is not received orders will be cancelled and dates will be opened up to other clients. Clients are welcome to contact us to make other payment arrangements, but dates are not reserved until payment or holding fees are received.
We understand that things come up and orders must be canceled. All canceled orders are subject to the non refundable holding fee ($30.00 for all cake orders and $100.00 for wedding cakes) any remaining money will be refunded, when the following conditions are met:
~ Requests must be made within the first week, following the event
~ Requests based on taste must be made within the first 2 days following any event and the cake must be brought to us for tasting
~ Requests based on appearance must include a photo of the item in question
If these requirements are not met a refund will not be issued, we will extend a credit for 50% of the original cake price.
Unfortunately, refunds are not issued on orders that are picked up. We are not responsible for any cake damage or fallen cakes if we are not the ones delivering them. In these cases, will extend a credit for 50% of the original cake price.
Please also note, there is a 30 day refund turn around. We always want to issue refunds as quickly as possible and with the amount of orders we receive that is not always possible. During the wedding season (May to October) we extend this turn around to 60 days. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
